Agyros

The rolling hills of Agyros reach across the land from the Craigs of Undermoon to the base of the great OdBrana mountains. A rather warm area sits nicely on the coastal breeze of the Rhodian Sea. Most of the people that live in Agyros live along the coast of seas and river that run throughout. With enough land to farm and herd cattle, the land is good for foods. Living by the water has its’ perks, fishing and the trade keeps the people busy even in remote areas. The Agyros trade for more harder things to get such as gold, gems, wines. Meanwhile the hillside is rich in copper and clays that is used up the rivers in Leon, Kallias, and Theron.

A split group of people have lived in this region for long enough that there isn’t a lack of animosity between them. Its’ culture has always been diverse, from city to city, as the people were able to live off the lands. Some communities have been known for their music, while others for their cooking. But, the whole of the Agyros region has always been known for their ale. The brewmasters of the area have always use the rich grounds to produce the best ale in all of mens’ lands. And with that a bevy of taverns are scattered throughout the region supplying its’ people with ample enjoyments.

With the region sharing a long border with Kallias the massive trade endeavours between the two is ever present. A small way through the Kings’ Grove lays Leon and its’ rich country who, Agyros attempts to take whatever trade they can from. Unique to these borders is a relationship with the Orkish dynasties. The coastal cities are the only areas that have restricted trade with the Orks. and the harbour Agyros is a bustling market for merchants and mercenary sailors.

The conflicts of Agyros have always been skirmish based. It’s cities, self-sufficient, rarely had to war over resources but more so over grudges. This culture was only increased when families from the poor districts of Lycus arrived. Coming for a new chance at life, the families were rejected by most of the cities as they weren’t native to the realm. After these hardships the families have taken a firm grasp on Agyros through a history of violent and destructive ways of business. Their notorious ways have left a Agyros prosperous and feared. And the families that were once disregarded and mistreated have created a world unto themselves, a name to be feared The Eastern Families
