Mir -The Lily City-

The city of “Mir” is a settlement created by some of the 1st sailors of the Rhodian Sea. Their control over the inland sea made it a prosperous trading hub and has long been the topic of conflicts for generations. Its “owners” have changed over time and now it rests independent of any rulers but, their marks still remain. The buildings and cultures show the diverse exposure the city has had and its people are as distinct as they come. Many “noble” families have taken to building great homes on the island and with that an injection of money floods the island. The city itself is shaped along the different cliffside levels that create an organic tiered living to the structures. Its economy is based strongly on Mirs’ fishing community and their masons. The island is rich with strong stone and good clays that make for excellent construction tools. Mir gets its’ name “Lily City” due to a general infestation of the plant across most of the island. With varieties of Lilies dotting the fields of the island the people feel that the flower is a protector and use it as apart of many ceremonies and recipes.
